Church entrance project
Tue 20 Oct 2020
Our new church entrance is now completed. The final piece in the puzzle was the re-installation of the bell on Wed 12 October. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions the planned official opening and blessing of the new entrance has been deferred until a date to be determined in 2021 when we can all gather in person.

With services now being held again in the church the new entrance is in full operation. The garden opposite the entrance has also been refurbished to enhance the entry.

ST MARK’S AGM – SUN 01  NOV 2020
Our annual general meeting this year was conducted via Zoom. There was a good representation of the parishioners considering the difficult circumstances.
The accounts for 2019/20 and the budget for 2020/21 were approved.

The main topic for the meeting were results of the vote on the proposed cooperation agreement with St Timothy’s, Bulleen. The agreement was duly passed. Effective from Feb 2021 the Vicar of St Timothy’s will take up the role of Vicar of both parishes, with several full time and part time Assistant Ministers to be appointed. There will be a 5 year lead in period for all the various areas of this cooperation to be completed.

The nominations and election of Wardens and Parish Councilors was also announced.
Those elected were congratulated and appreciation noted for the retiring members.

RESUMPTION OF FULL SERVICES – 29 NOV 2020
With much joy and inspirational participation full Holy Communion services were resumed on Sunday 29 Nov 2020, albeit with limited capacity to due COVID-19 restrictions. Much appreciated is the work of those volunteers who help sanitise the church before and after these services.
